GRIND COAST / FIELD NOTES
GTA 6 Editions: Standard vs Ultimate Compared
Standard or Ultimate? Every GTA 6 item Rockstar lists, the Vintage Vice City pre-order pack, what the GTA+ month covers and the Ultimate-only shops.
What is the difference between GTA 6 Standard and Ultimate?
Both editions include the game and the two pre-order bonuses: the Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+. The Ultimate Edition adds 16 items that Rockstar lists by name. The Standard Edition comes as a download or as a code in a box; the Ultimate Edition is digital only. Checked on Rockstar’s editions page on .
| Edition | Format | US list price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Digital, or a download code in a box (no disc) | $79.99 | The game, plus the pre-order bonuses for eligible orders. |
| Ultimate | Digital only | $99.99 | The game, the pre-order bonuses and 16 extra items spread across Jason and Lucia’s story. |
Prices are the US list prices in Rockstar’s June 24, 2026 press release; Rockstar’s editions page shows none. Check your own store and currency. Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, per Rockstar’s pre-order post, which also describes GTA VI as a single-player experience.
What does the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition include?
Rockstar lists 16 items, summarised below from its own descriptions. Rockstar says the Ultimate items are spread across the story; it does not give their in-game value, stats or unlock order, and we have not tested them.
| Type | Item | Rockstar’s description, summarised |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicles | ’95 Grotti Cheetah | Grotti’s mid-’90s sports car with a retro-futuristic livery. Rockstar says it becomes available later in the story. |
| Vehicles | ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy | An off-roader for the trails of Mount Kalaga, stored at a garage in Watson Bay with a weapon locker and a drop-off for stolen goods. |
| Vehicles | Shitzu Squalo | A pink-and-blue boat docked at Washington Beach, with a weapons crate holding explosives. |
| Vehicles | Jason’s safehouse vehicles | A Dinka Enduro motorcycle in army colours and a Crest kayak. |
| Vehicles | Ganado Retro Build | Exclusive modifications for Jason’s worn, lowered Vapid Ganado pickup. |
| Vehicles | Classic Car Collection | Abandoned or unfinished classic cars to find and restore for a special order from Wyman, a local collector and mechanic. |
| Weapons | Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers | Men’s and women’s versions of a classic-style revolver from the Vercetti estate, with palm-tree grips, engraving and a scope. |
| Weapons | Personalized weapon variants | Engraved versions of Jason’s Girardi ES9 and Lucia’s Klose K17 pistols. |
| Style | Vice City Style | Exclusive outfits, tattoos and more for Jason and Lucia. |
| Style | Goodtime Gear | A capsule of clothing and accessories inspired by Macca the Gator. |
| Shops | Stock 305 clothing store | A high-end streetwear shop in Stockyard. Marked available only in the Ultimate Edition. |
| Shops | Sara’s Unisex Salon | Hairstyles, Jason’s facial hair, and Lucia’s make-up and nails. Marked available only in the Ultimate Edition. |
| Shops | Electric Fang Tattoo | Stockyard’s tattoo parlour, with more than 50 signature designs by the FAILE art collective. Marked available only in the Ultimate Edition. |
| Shops | One-Eyed Willie’s mod shop | Off-road modifications and hand-painted artwork, in Lake Leonida. Marked available only in the Ultimate Edition. |
| Shops | Rideout Customs mod shop | Detailed interiors, rims and donk styling for classic vehicles. The page we checked does not say whether it is exclusive; see below. |
| Activity | PTT Youngin$ illegal goods store | Raid the hideout of a gang in Vice City’s Southside, then escape with special items and contraband. |
Which features are Ultimate-only?
Four shops carry the line “available only in the Ultimate Edition” on the page we checked: Stock 305, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Electric Fang Tattoo and One-Eyed Willie’s mod shop. When the editions were announced, RockstarINTEL also quoted Rockstar’s English text saying Rideout Customs was only open with the Ultimate Edition; that line is not on the page we checked. Treat Rideout Customs as unconfirmed either way until you see it in your own store’s listing.
What is in the Vintage Vice City Pack?
A two-tone ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan with a garage near Ocean Beach, outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern, according to Rockstar’s editions page.
Who gets it: Rockstar’s June 24 post says all pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026 receive the pack, whichever edition. A purchase on or after November 20 is not covered by that wording.
Is the free GTA+ month for GTA 6?
No. The benefits Rockstar lists are for GTA Online: a monthly deposit of GTA$500,000 to your GTA Online character, Shark Card bonuses, free or discounted GTA Online vehicles, and the GTA+ games library. Nothing in the description applies to GTA VI. Rockstar’s pre-order post ties the free month to digital pre-orders.
GTA+ is a subscription. Before the free month ends, check your store’s renewal terms if you do not want to keep paying for it.

Physical copy, upgrade and the collector box
- Physical copy: the boxed Standard Edition contains a download code, not a disc, and is available from November 12, 2026 to support preloading, per Rockstar’s post. There is no boxed Ultimate Edition.
- Upgrade later: the US PlayStation Store listing showed an Ultimate Edition Upgrade when we checked it on October 2, 2026. Check your own store for the price and availability.
- The Vice City Collection is a separate physical collector box sold on the Rockstar Store. It does not include the game; see the launch checklist.

Short answers
Is the Ultimate Edition worth it?
We cannot judge value before release. What changes is the list above: extra vehicles, weapons, style items, one activity and four shops marked Ultimate-only. None of it has a published in-game value.
Does the Ultimate Edition give you money in GTA 6?
Rockstar’s list contains no GTA VI cash. The GTA$500,000 in the GTA+ month is for GTA Online. See our GTA 6 money guide for what is reported about earning in the story.
Can I upgrade from Standard to Ultimate later?
An Ultimate Edition Upgrade was listed on the US PlayStation Store on October 2, 2026. Check your platform’s store.
Is there a physical Ultimate Edition?
No. Rockstar lists the Ultimate Edition as digital only. The boxed Standard Edition contains a download code.
Do I get the Vintage Vice City Pack if I buy after launch?
Rockstar’s wording covers pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026, the day after launch.
