GTA 6 characters: the people of Leonida

01 / PLAYABLE PROTAGONIST

Jason Duval

Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.

Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. A stint in the Army was his attempt to shake off a troubled adolescence; when it ended, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. Rockstar’s profile adds that it might be time to try something new.

That work runs through Brian Heder, a veteran smuggler who lets Jason live rent-free in one of his properties as long as he helps with local shakedowns and stops by for Lori’s sangria once in a while. Jason’s friend in the Keys is Cal Hampton, Brian’s other associate, who is happy where he is while Jason has bigger plans.

Rockstar frames Jason as a man who wants an easy life and keeps getting a harder one. Meeting Lucia, the profile says, could be the best or the worst thing to ever happen to him: he knows how he would like it to turn out, but right now it is hard to tell.

“Another day in paradise, right?”

Connections: Lucia Caminos, partner, met during the story · Brian Heder, landlord and employer · Cal Hampton, friend.

02 / PLAYABLE PROTAGONIST

Lucia Caminos

Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.

Her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and Rockstar says life has been coming at her swinging ever since. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary; sheer luck got her out, and the lesson she took from it is to make only smart moves from here. The profile does not name a specific charge.

What Lucia wants, more than anything, is the good life her mother has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City. Where her mother had half-baked fantasies, Lucia is prepared to take matters into her own hands: fresh out of prison and ready to change the odds in her favour, she is committed to her plan, no matter what it takes.

A life with Jason could be her way out. Rockstar’s narrative team, quoted by RockstarINTEL in October 2026, describes her as determined to overcome obstacles, with an American dream built around her family’s security rather than spectacular wealth.

“The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got.”

Connections: Jason Duval, partner, her possible way out.

03 / SUPPORTING CHARACTER

Cal Hampton

What if everything on the internet was true?

Cal feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard communications with a few beers and some private browser tabs open. He works alongside Brian, like Jason, but his ambitions stop at his front door.

Rockstar describes him as being at the low tide of America and happy there. Casual paranoia loves company, and Jason is that company, except that Jason has bigger plans.

“The psychopaths are in charge. Get used to it.”

Connections: Jason Duval, friend · Brian Heder, associate.

04 / SUPPORTING CHARACTER

Boobie Ike

It’s all about heart - the Jack of Hearts.

Boobie is a local Vice City legend, and acts like it. Rockstar presents him as one of the few to transform his time in the streets into a legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, all smiles until it is time to talk business.

He might seem to be out for himself, but what he is most invested in is his partnership with Dre’Quan Priest, a young aspiring music mogul, in the label Only Raw Records. Now they just need a hit.

“The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all.”

Connections: Dre’Quan Priest, partner in Only Raw Records · Real Dimez, the label’s new signing.

05 / SUPPORTING CHARACTER

Dre’Quan Priest

Only Raw... Records

Dre’Quan was always more of a hustler than a gangster. Even when he was dealing on the streets to make ends meet, Rockstar says, breaking into music was the goal.

He books acts into Boobie Ike’s strip club and runs Only Raw Records with Boobie’s backing. Now that he has signed Real Dimez, those club-booking days may be numbered as he sets his sights on the Vice City scene.

“You’re with the label now.”

06 / DUO, SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

Real Dimez

Viral videos. Viral hooks.

Bae-Luxe and Roxy, aka Real Dimez, have been friends since high school. Rockstar describes them as girls with the savvy to turn their time shaking down local dealers into cold, hard cash, through spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence.

An early hit single with the local rapper DWNPLY took Real Dimez to new heights. Now, after five years and a whole lot of trouble, they are signed to Only Raw Records, hoping lightning can strike twice.

“One hit away from fame.”

Connections: Dre’Quan Priest, signed them to Only Raw Records · Boobie Ike, the label’s backer.

07 / SUPPORTING CHARACTER

Raul Bautista

Experience counts.

Confidence, charm and cunning: Rockstar presents Raul as a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards.

His recklessness raises the stakes with every score. Sooner or later, the profile says, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table. The profile does not name who is in that crew.

“Life is full of surprises, my friend. I think we’d all be wise to remember that.”

Connections: none named in the profile.

08 / SUPPORTING CHARACTER

Brian Heder

Nothing better than a Mudslide at sunset.

Brian is a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and has been around long enough to let others do his dirty work.

He lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties, so long as Jason helps with local shakedowns and stops by for Lori’s sangria once in a while. Cal Hampton is his other associate.

“Looks like a Leonida beach bum - moves like a great white shark.”

Connections: Jason Duval, tenant and hired hand · Cal Hampton, associate.
