Why does the countdown change by region?
The counter uses midnight on November 19 in the selected region as a reference. Switching regions changes that reference instant; it does not prove the game will unlock at midnight there.
The local clock uses the selected region’s time zone. Seasonal time changes are applied to the release date as well as to the current clock. If the reference instant has passed, the counter stops at zero.
How do I check the actual unlock time?
Consult Rockstar’s announcement and the store page for your platform and region when launch details are available. A date, a preload time and an unlock time are different things. Do not plan around this reference counter alone.
