01 / GET YOUR BEARINGS
How big is the GTA 6 map?
VGC reports that Leonida is roughly twice the size of GTA V's map. Its September 29, 2026 account attributes that comparison to Rockstar's Aaron Garbut in Game Informer's cover feature. Treat it as a reported comparison, not a measured area or a verified travel-time estimate.
This guide introduces the regions; it is not an interactive map. The cover is a preview screenshot, not a geographic diagram. We do not assign square kilometres, exact borders, collectible markers or travel times that these sources do not establish.
02 / CHOOSE YOUR SETTING
Meet Leonida's six regions.
Pick the setting that interests you first. The short descriptions summarize the cited sources; each expandable field note is our own suggestion for exploring after release.
Vice City
Miami-inspired streets, beaches and Art Deco architecture.
Your exploration note
When you find an interesting location, note a nearby landmark so you can return without following a full walkthrough.
Leonida Keys
Leonida's take on the Florida Keys.
Your exploration note
Before a long detour, check the actual route offered by the game. A coastal screenshot cannot establish a usable crossing.
Grassrivers
A wetland setting inspired by the Everglades.
Your exploration note
Keep an encounter log if wildlife interests you. Record what you observe without assuming a guaranteed spawn.
Port Gellhorn
A faded tourist destination with rundown commercial areas.
Your exploration note
Mark useful stops as you discover them. Distinguish a building you can enter from one that is only scenery.
Ambrosia
An industrial area with factories and refineries.
Your exploration note
Check which roads and entrances are usable before describing a shortcut. An industrial setting does not prove an earning opportunity.
Mount Kalaga National Park
A natural landscape at the state's northern edge.
Your exploration note
Choose your spoiler limit before looking up discoveries. Broad region notes can preserve the surprise of an exact location.
For what you might do between missions, open the side-activities briefing. This region list does not assign activities to specific locations.
03 / YOUR FIRST TRIP
Build a useful route note, one journey at a time.
A large map makes a good reason to plan, but not to guess. After release, try one short trip before treating any route as reliable. This is our observation template, with no pre-filled game results.
| Record | Useful detail | Related briefing |
|---|---|---|
| Starting conditions | Platform, build, character and mission or free-roam context. | Launch preparation |
| Route and transport | Start, destination, vehicle and any actual restrictions. | Fuel and range |
| Travel conditions | Weather, traffic, detours and observed elapsed time. | Weather observations |
| Discoveries | Broad region, visible interaction and confidence in identification. | Wildlife field notes |
Keep exact coordinates private if you want a spoiler-light first playthrough. If you later compare routes, repeat the journey and record what changed before recommending a shortcut to someone else.
04 / QUICK ANSWERS
Before you plan the whole trip.
Does twice the size mean twice the driving time?
No. Roads, transport options, traffic and access conditions affect a trip. An area comparison alone cannot establish journey duration.
Does this guide show the complete official map?
No. It introduces named destinations using official material and attributed reporting. It does not present a fan reconstruction as a Rockstar map.
Which region is best for making money?
These sources do not establish regional earnings. Use the money-system guide for sourced economic reporting; a scenic or industrial location is not evidence of a profitable route.
