PC Gamer reports that Clancy discussed Twitch’s conversations with Rockstar and anticipated a larger audience surge when multiplayer arrives the following year. The outlet said it had requested comment from Rockstar and Twitch.
How we traced this claim
The original Bloomberg interview, dated September 17, was not accessible for our review. Our attribution relies on PC Gamer’s published account. Multiple outlets repeating one interview do not turn it into several independent confirmations.
A reported year leaves substantial questions open: the day, available platforms, purchase terms and progression rules. An exact countdown would imply more certainty than this evidence supports.
